Finding Mr Flood by Dublin author Ciara Geraghty is her standalone humorous & heartwarming contemporary/literary fiction coming-of-age novel about a girl who tries to find her long-disappeared father after a family crisis, and discovers things about herself and her father along the way, as you do, free courtesy of publisher Hodder & Stoughton, who appear to now be owned by Hachette.

This is the iTunes UK's featured Free Book of the Week, and lists much quoted newspaper review praise in the blurb.

Currently free, probably just through Monday @ B&N UK, Amazon UK, iTunes UK, & Kobo (available to the UK, and this also seems to be free in other British Isles & Oceania countries when I spot-check regional iTunes & Amazon stores, but not in the EU or elsewhere worldwide, though YMMV).

Unlikely to make a stop in the middle of the pond, since this exists in a slightly different edition in North America which is not free.

And this has been the (late!) selected 3rd (non-repeat) free ebook thread of the day.

A bit by default, since I'm not too keen on the sociopathic comedic protagonist trope and the behind-the-scenes music album book wasn't quite substantial enough to qualify for a feature pick, and the Gentle Readers (and Gentle Newspaper Reviewers) seemed to really like this one and it's nice to get stuff set in slightly out-of-the-way (from a North American perspective) locales, so there you go.

Incidentally, it seems like RosettaBooks, after skipping yesterday, have (happily) resumed their (maybe) countdown Valentine's Day freebie giveaway, and if you haven't already picked it up, you can find their offering for the 5th in apesmom's post here in the Romance megathread, which is another humorous Regency historical romance written by popular mystery novelist M.C.
