Still more help with Latin, please

I'm currently working on Felix Holt, the Radical, by George Eliot for the MR library. I haven't come across any Greek yet, but there is some Latin in the book.

The first phrase is: Non omnia grandior aetas quae fugiamus habet. I've checked it against the original, but it doesn't make any sense with Google Translate. Can anyone translate it please?

The next sentence in the book is 'you have not the best of it in all things, youngsters!', but it's not clear whether this is meant to be a translation.

It's a quote from Ovid's "Metamorphoses", book 6. A translation would be "Old age has some things, at least, that are not to be despised".

A quick search on the phrase came up with several references. One was a Latin/English dual column of Ovid's Metamorphoses. Link to the page is: Loeb Classical Library: Ovid, Metamorphoses .

Thanks to you both.

After I posted I loaded the latin text into the Firefox search engine, and found 'Old age has some things at least that are not to be despised; experience comes with riper years', though I think that's added a few words. It is identified as Ovid, Metamorphoses 6.28-29, and was found at https://laudatortemporisacti.blogspo...xperience.html.

I'll use this search technique more often.
