I have PW3 firmware version 5.8.9.0.1 (G090 G105 XXXX XXXX) Ordered from Canadian Amazon. I was not sure if I should post here too (sorry, newbie here) to the correct forum such that I can have the proper PM. I have enabled PM. Thanks

Picked up a brand new device (not yet registered), no special offers, never connected to the Internets. Purchased in US, based on the UPC label it appears to have originated in Mexico (if that matters).

Details:
Serial Number: G090 G105 xxxx xxxx
Firmware version: Kindle 5.8.9.0.1 (3175970011)

QQ: Can I use the files referenced in #4 and #6 that knc1 references in the initial thread post (above), or will I need something different for this particular firmware vers? PM / immediate email notifs enabled.

I saw someone successed downgrade to 5.8.9.0.1 on ver 5.8.9.2 use Japanese language.
