E-ink Screen Burn?

Can anyone answer this question please? I would like to know if it is possible for the e-ink screen to get screen-burn, if a single page is left turned on for an extended time? And if so how long does this take?

No it doesn't use phosphor like CRT,Plasma and LCD can get transient image persistence, but E-ink is a different Technology.

Thanks Gargoyle for that information.

I had a look at those links. Glad to know the screen is different and can't burn like other screen types. Also I never knew how that e-ink worked before....very clever!

I have noticed a little transient image persistence before on the PEZ when opening and then closing bookmarks from a book cover image. This, however, was only for a short time and went away after going to a text page.

Yes you do get that some times although when the screen refreshes it clears it.

That's called "ghosting", and is the reason for the "black flash" between page turns.
