DR800 Experimental compilation of Xournal v0.4.5 for DR800

Xournal v0.4.5 for DR800 and DR1000

I have no intentions to continue working on this, at least until iRex show the future note taking application for DR800 in next April release.

In case anyone is interested in Xournal you should read the DR1000 port thread by Mackx, which also includes customization for the DR1000 and new features such as fast screen refresh.

I almost spent more time writing this than building xournal

On my 800SG, the scribbles do not show unless I force a page update (by scrolling the page for example). Is that the behavior you see, or am I missing an option/library?

Hi,

it's the usual behaviour. As I mentioned in the first post, xournal needs special refresh tricks in order to refresh the screen. Read the thread by Mackx mentioned in the first message for in depth information about the issues.

I'd say the Irex note app is very nice, but in no way a match for Xournal. They each have their uses. I'm using your Xournal port and liking it very much, thank you for providing it.

Mackx has released a more complete version for DR1000, with special code for proper refresh and integration, etc. Mine is only a compilation of the original sources, with no additional features.

Our intention is to have one version only, compatible for DR800 and DR1000.
But we will have to wait until v2.0 sources are released
