'letter-spacing' in Mobi

Does Mobi format understand "letter-spacing"? Since mobi does not recognize non-integer ems, I have tried setting it to the letter-spacing to a few px but this does not seem to work...

No, it doesn't. But you may use font sizes, if that's what you want:

You can use<font size=+1>larger</font> or <font size=-1>smaller</font> text. Or <big>larger</big> and <small>smaller</small>.

Thank you for your answer!

What I actually want is to find a way to track all-caps text.

float, negative margins etc

Does mobi format support 'float' parameter? And/or negative margins?

What I am trying to get is to layout some text like this:

(1) aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

The number in parentheses is to be left-aligned. And the verse is centered...

You can find out what mobi does and does not support at:

http://www.mobipocket.com/dev/articl...mobiformat.htm

Specifically, loot at the "eBook features" and "Reference - Open-eBook HTML tags" sections in the left bar.
