Hello, In a few weeks time I hope to receive my ordered IPad here in the Netherlands and I am trying to find out how to download e-pub books for this device. I read both English and Dutch. I am excited about the new device coming.

IPad users out there?
Thanks guys out there for making me welcome! I am curious to know if IPad users have mastered the art of downloading books to their machine. In the Dutch consumers magazine Consumenten Gids the IPad as ereader was tested and the remark was made that no-one of the team had managed to download books from a paid site, only free books were downloaded. This was published in November 2010. What about people in this community? Does the IPad give you problems?

Hi Hetty, welcome to MR from the Netherlands. You might go to ereaders.nl to learn about the iPad or look on the special iPadforum on MR. Of course it is possible to get the free Amazon Kindle apps. You can buy and read books on your iPad with that apps.
Also look on iPadplanet.nl or iPadinfo.nl for more info on reading on the iPad.

Thanks for the info!! I still have to find my way around and the NRC NEXT IPad has not even arrived yet. I hope to learn more with these tips.
