Ooh touch screen! I wonder how responsive the touch screen will be, in a lot of cheaper devices the interface can be clunky. No wifi is just bizaare in my opinion, having to deal with cables is somewhat annoying.

Let's just hope this competition between Sony/Amazon/Others heats up and the prices keep coming down!

The low price of $199 for the Sony 300 means that the other competing 5-inchers better get their collective butts in gear if they want to remain competitive.

The prices are getting lower, and the growth of ebooks continues. Competition is heating up, and "the times they are a-changin'."

Look for the Sony 300 to be on sale for in less than one year from now - at great savings.

Also look for the "Hot-aired verbal gymnastics" from certain other retailers [of ebooks] to bite the dust and gnaw on their fingernails.

And we know Sony's ePub implementation works very well. And that is a big deal for Sony right there.

This certainly is a good price if the only formats that you need are Sonys and Adobes - Sony would really have a winner if they had opened up their reader to other formats also.
