Classic Any Nooks in stores yet?

Hello All,

I received a number of B&N gift cards for x-mas this year, wondering if there is any chance of snagging a nook at a real store before the current "February 1st" delivery date, or should I just go and order one online? Anyone seen any for sale yet?

I was just wondering the same thing myself. i'll be heading to B/N by me in Wellington tomorrow to see if they have anything in stock. But, I highly doubt it. The ship date on the nook webpage still says February 1

I would doubt that you would find a nook in any B&N store. If you want a nook order one online. If you happened to find one at a B&N store you can cancel your order.

Of course you won't find a Nook in the store. They are totally sold out

I was told when all pre-orders are filled, stores will start getting them.
Which is the right thing to do.

But if people keep pre ordering, expect to wait longer for stores to get it.

I was told that they should be in stores around the 2nd week of January. However, my BN rep didn't seem too sure of that. She told me getting their display model was like pulling teeth with corporate. Then again, mine's a smaller store in the shadow of a much larger store 5 miles away (2 story monster that anchors our downtown shopping district)
