About to go to bed to read a bit and watch a Time Team episode.

As I told before we try to raise money every year for Serious Request, which is held in the week before Christmas. This year they're raising money to help prevent diarrhoea (800000 children die each year of it). They're tagline this year is "Let's clean this shit up", which I personally find appropriate and had no problems putting up the posters and donation box. But, of course, some people take offence, like one of our customers today, and even after explaining why it's appropriate she thought it was rude and wouldn't be donating anything this year.

Although I'm not particularly good with languages, I can now say "Where can I buy Imodium?" in 11 different languages...

I couldn't agree more!

I'm now waiting for the Serious Request webstore to open at noon (in 2 hours), I need a new SR sweater since my old one is really in need of replacement.

It's now snowing outside, kinda. At times it's swirling like dry snow and a second later it plummets down like wet snow. It'll melt immediately, anyway, since it's too warm and too wet, but it looks nice.

I was just editing the calendar events on my iPad when I noticed how the main event for January 4 displays. That will be my first full day of retirement from Norfolk Naval Shipyard, and I noted it by writing, "NO MORE SHIPYARD!" In the monthly view, however, there isn't enough room to display the entire message, so what anyone actually sees when they look at the display for that day is, "NO MORE SHI..."

Seems appropriate enough.

I doubt my experience will ever be as exciting as yours. I've planned the basic day, which involves reading, writing, music production, research, meditation, couponing, and a bit of mild exercise. I'm hoping my son will get his own truck on the road soon so my wife can have her truck back and I can have my car back. Otherwise I'll be house-bound until the wife retires. With transportation; the possibilities are endless. Without it, I'll be a shut-in.
