Total disabling of the wifi on KA1
Hi, I would like to disable compleately the wifi connection on my kobo.
Is there a way to do it modifing an internal system file? (for example renaming a file or using notepad++ on a file) (I think that in some way the wifi connection remains enabled and I don't like at all to be spied by kobo or by others...) I appreciate any idea or participation |

Just turn it off. Unless you have the password to log into wifi, it can't do so, whether at home or elsewhere.

@Owl_: Deleting the current WiFi settings and turning the WiFi off will prevent the device from being able to reach out. Is there a reason that you don't think this is enough?
If you really wanted to, you could get into the root partition and delete the WiFi drivers. That would completely break the WiFi. Funnily enough, the way I would do that is to enable WiFi and telnet, and then telnet in to issue the commands. |

The Kobo store shows these details in the specs. Otherwise, look at the MR Wiki. It should have the details for most of the older devices, but I haven't checked recently.
