Man, I feel like a caveman! I breathe on the screen and use my shirt to clean it. The screen is Gorilla Glass, it had better be able to withstand my inexpensive pique polo shirt fabric.
I treat my e-reader with the same high level of TLC, though I clean the screen less frequently. |

FWIW, for my 'murican comrades - I bought the $10 variety of these microfiber cloths and have been quite pleased with them. They're actually heavier than most microfiber cloths and do an excellent job.
My eyes are so bad that I could not wear glasses were it not for light-weight plastic lenses. In the past the description "coke bottle bottoms" did not do justice to describing how thick my classes were. Of course, YMMV. |

most ereader screens have a glass surface. so i just use water and a towel (paper or cloth). while eating and reading, sometimes some sauce or soup gets splashed onto the screen. i just use the condensation on the outside of the cup to wet a paper napkin and wipe off.

I haven't read the whole thread so apologies if I've missed some nuances. Regarding screen cleaning: I just use those cheap damp disposable cloths you buy in little pots; they're mostly intended for cleaning laptop screens.

E-reader: duster and soft brush.
Tablet: Those lemon paper towels you use to clean glasses with. |

One note is to be gentle while cleaning your ereader screen. One co-worker got enthused cleaning her PW2(??) screen and managed to crack the substrate while removing the mayonnaise.

Must have been full fat mayonnaise because it was obviously heavy enough to break the screen.
