Suggested feature

Calibre is a great piece of software. I have a suggestion for future versions. In the "Add books" tab you should add an option: "get file from the Internet". That would allow to import books downloading them directly from the web to Calibre.

Congrats on the application, it really rocks.

Cool another suggestion - resizing covers

how about a feature that links the book cover to an editor capable of resizing resizing it (gimp maybe?)

You can do this already, using the "Open with" plugin, located in the GUI plugins sticky thread.
You can download the plugin from this post. As a placeholder I configured it to use Paint for Windows users by default but you can set it up to use whatever application you like.

installed it and it gives the ooption to open with sigil, but errors when used and never loads the epub. also after fiddling for a hour or more i cannot figure out how (read your instructional posts several times) to add opening the cover jpg with anything (gimp or paint).
