Say it loud, say it proud.
Maxipad. It'll be painful when I drop that thing on my foot. Or it falls down onto my face. |

I sure hope they don't have the short-sightedness to name a larger iPad so inappropriately... Yikes! It's bad enough without being reminded!

Will large format tablets become popular? I think that they may. It is entirely possible that iOS and Android will replace OS X and Windows for most consumers. It is unlikely that they will do so in the office users and for demanding home users, but even those users will likely use iOS and Android devices in addition to traditional computers. If that is the case, it helps to have a broad enough range of products to fill the various market niches. |

I think that these large tablets (12" and beyond) are a niche market, for most people even 10" is too large and the 7-8" range seem to be the sweet spot. Maybe 12"+ will have a place in the business sector, but I hardly see them hitting it with consumers, we're seeing a shift towards smaller tablets already.

Darn it! I just bought a new iPad, the original was wearing out. If I had known this, I would have waited.

I would LOVE a 13" iPad! Would be easier to work in a DAW and more space to draw in. |

I like the idea but weight can't be much more than the current iPad. I think they could get much of this from an almost-no-bezel design but I'm still hoping for front-facing speaker(s) some day and that needs a bezel.
