Ejecting PRS 950

Calibre doesn't seem to be ejecting my 950 properly. When I eject the icons for my reader and memory stick disappear as they should, but my reader remains in "Charging" mode. It then takes a long time to indicate that the charging is complete even if it required a minimal charge.
If I simply disconnect it, it goes into formatting mode forever and requires a reboot.
Is this normal or do I need to do something differently?

Have you tried using both the Calibre and OS eject options to see if that helps?

You have a corrupted file on your device that is causing the formatting forever. I suggest deleting everything on your device and resending.

Yikes.
That seems a little drastic. Is there any alternate way of finding the corrupt file that's causing the trouble?

Not that I know of. You can try opening each file on the reader in succession with it connected, but that may or may not work as files might well open on your computer but still cause the reader problems.
