iPad iBook store content is lacking

Why is it that what I consider great authors, such as Robert Harris, Orson Scott Card and Alistair Reynolds - to name a few, are missing from the iBooks store? It's not as if these are minority authors, they are well known authors who have published many times.

Presumably Apple have not signed contracts with their publishers yet - these things take time, and the iBookstore is still in its infancy.

In the mean time, you could always install the Kindle App and buy those books from Amazon.

+1 , and if you prefer ePub, buy from Kobo, and use the kobo app....

This is another byproduct of the "Agency 5" publisher's actions, since last April.
