Color up your Kindle 2 with style
Into a rather boring space dominated by gray consumer products, ColorWare brings some seriously professional gadget painting to the Kindle 2.
You can send in your existing Kindle 2 and have them color it up for $200-250, or buy a pre-colored new Kindle 2 for $600-650 (depending on what you choose to colorize). Not a bad deal if you really want to get an even bigger head start on differentiating yourself from other Kindle users. Will it void your warranty? My guess - yes. But more importantly, who'll come up with the grandest color design? [via SlashGear] |

Hand-painted by a one-eyed pirate with a hook for a hand and is colorblind.

Skins are a lot less expensive and easy to change when you get tired on a particular color scheme. But no annoying white showing around the skin pieces is an advantage for painting.

For a mere $250 you too can have the 'Peas & Pepto-Bismol' color scheme.

I love the colors with my heart and soul! But not $200 or more, that's just insane. My thrifty Scottish forebears would be spinning in their cheap cardboard coffins!

That is the very definition of a strange coincidence! So do you think they are being painted? How would one go about painting a 505, and how would one protect said paint from rubbing off? What sort of paint would one use, maybe model car enamel? And how would one keep paint out of the reset sphincter on its behind?
EDIT: What about real car enamel, you know, like you buy at the auto body shop? Last edited by DixieGal; 05-11-2009 at 04:13 PM. |

I'd rather get a DX in boring white then spend more on a garish K2.
