Hi Folks....
Hi folks its Paul Roke from down under, am new to this and at first sight all you folks are so really kind and helpfull. Its good to know now such a place exists where there is so much info and help. I have recently acquired a KOBO and after a few hiccups it seems to be working well. There are a lot of usefull tips about. I wonder if there is someone who can tell me if they have tried to read PDF books on the kobo and seen the annoying perimeter pointers that seem to serve no purpose and i wish they could be removed. Also it would be a pleasure to have reflow with the PDF situation as some books do not convert satisfactorily to ePub.I have been successful in loading other ePub`s to my KOBO main library and they have blended in very well and can see them there with cover with all the other books.

Good to have your company, Paul. Problem with PDF is that it's a for-print format and not ebook reader-specific. And converting PDF to other formats doesn't often work well. Best wishes. Neil

Thanks Neil, I have been experimenting with PDF and the following,(I copy select all), then paste into Word then format in Word(to my choice or let it go auto), then convert back to PDF with doPDF then with "Calibre" and arrange my own cover with "create cover" and then convert to ePub and it seems to come out really well. You can alter the ePub(HTML) directly in the program "Sigil" and just save it again and send it back to your reader....Both programs mentioned here are open source and very effective.Calibre is versatile. You are able to Google them and download. I just wish they could remove those really useless pointers on the KOBO screen when reading PDF`s, they get in the way of script and serve no practical purpose it appears....John.
