Fix HTML & Beautify current file. Possible in bulk?
At the beginning of editing a book I see 2 or 3 routine tasks: Run Checkbook (-> No problems found) Fix HTML and/or Beautify current file The latter includes the second at least as regards the 'brown block at the beginning' of each file. Quote:
Manual -> Beautifying files talks of all files Quote:
Not being able to do that in bulk is waste of time and includes the ability to oversee something, especially if the book contains many of them. How do I edit all/at least all selected files in bulk? Marking of files for this purpose results currently fruitless. |

As per the User Manual instructions, the "Beautify all files" option is in the "Tools" menu.
The "Tools" menu can be found in the menubar on the top of the screen. |

The manual specifically says "Accessed via Tools->Beautify all files".

kovid very thoughtfully (and user friendlyly) added the correct task description in the tool tips
I've customized my toolbars a little to fit my way of working |

The assessment (justification) of an event is almost always dictated by the winner.

@phossler ... user friendlyly, more is not possible you think!? But that's only after appropriate means. * OT Issue is the quality of the manual. If anyone is interested I'll make further explanations. |

Feel free to open a new thread with any suggestions as to how you feel the User Manual can be improved and made clearer.
Documentation is less easy to write when one already knows everything about the product (and Kovid knows since he wrote it! ) -- it is much easier when approaching from the perspective "what would I not have known". |
