Can I transfer my .azw files to other kindles

No! I'm NOT talking about protected and encrypted books I purchase from Amazon!
I'm talking about some PDF files that I have sent to amazon and they sent me back the converted .azw files.
I'm not sure if Amazon adds some sort of protection to the files thats tagged with my specific kindle id.
Thanks!

So far as we know, there is no DRM on the file made from your PDF.

That's good news. I've got a number of .doc and .pdf files from work that I've converted so that I can access them while I'm in the field. Needless to say, once my co-workers see all the info I'm carrying around, they are gonna want to purchase a Kindle too.
Thanks for the info!

You can also ask them to add your email to their approve list. That way you can send the .DOC and .PDF directly to them. The ease of conversion is the best low key feature of the Kindle. I used to spend days/weeks on try to get my electronic files formatted correctly on the Sony Reader. Last week, my 150 Words and PDF files got on the Kindle in 2 hours.
