Smile How do I take screenshots with the Kindle Fire using a PC?

Hi!

Im using a Kindle Fire and need to take screenshots I know there isn't a built-in method and you have to get use some Android software. Im using a Windows 7 64bit PC.

I'm not a techie but can follow instructions and would like the most easy way possible preferably without rooting my Fire. The problem is I have followed two different 'easy' methods on the internet and none have worked for me, and the person writing the instructions have missed out important steps such as require Java.

I have installed Java SDK
I have installed Android SDK and supposedly the USB driver.
I have launched CMD and tried to run Dalvick Debug Monitor yet I get errors, because it cant see my Fire.

Please. any help would be mega appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the link. I watched that vid earlier, but it forgets to explain that you need to install java and android SDK. He has another vid about rooting your kindle fire, which i have followed but the software is not recognising the USB connection.

Cheers though!

I suggest following the instructions for rooting, e.g. How to Root the Amazon Kindle Fire. If you do root, there are screenshot apps (e.g. dropcap2) or use the USB debug mode.

and this to screen capture

First time it didnt work, but that's because i missed out steps. So copy precisely.
