I just wish the reviewer would have taken the time to learn any other details about the Nia before they compared. |

And an eBook that doesn't have such stupidly wide margins or stop making them so wide just to throw off the Kobo. I wouldn't put it past BadEReader to have edited the margins to make them look so bad.

This is an Italian Review of Nia (there are automatic subtitles so You can try the automatic translation). Synthesis: don't buy a Nia, buy a Libra
Another interesting thing is that the SD card has 16GB size but only 8GB usable. But You can extract it, format it for the whole size and You will obtain almost 16 GB of usable space. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnRnOZbxjdg Here the review on his site: again in Italian but with google translate... https://riccardo.im/recensioni/kobo-nia/ |

For resizing the storage, I'd recommend the Magic Memory Upgrade Mod. That can do it without opening the device. |

It's undoubtedly true. But the Nia is basically the Tolino Page 2 and that's also been made with a 16GB card. I'm not saying they will always be made with 16GB, but I do think it's a fairly safe bet.

I wonder if the smaller useful capacity is intentional for storage longevity (planar TLC and 3D QLC NAND have P/E cycles in the hundreds) or if it's because they don't want the Nia to have better features compared to the more expensive models. |
