New 505 owner, screen ghosting question

Hi,
I just got my Reader today. It´s now charging.
I notice that while it’s charging I see a faint ghost of the menu page (behind the usb charging icon). Should I be concerned? It’s quite faint, but visible.

I noticed the same thing... I'm not too concerned. I believe it's normal... when you start reading you should be able to see ghosting of the pages.

That's normal. Just the way e-ink works.

Happens to mine too, not permanent though, the ghosting keep changing from previous screen ...

Congratulations! Just got mine recently too. I also noticed faint menu during initial charge-up, but don't think about it anymore because no ghosting is visible when reading or using other functions.

BTW, be sure to protect your screen from accidental damage--especially if you don't have the extended warranty with coverage for accidental damage. I'm planning to buy a Tuff-Luv cover and hardshell case. Meanwhile, I keep it stored display-side down inside the original cardboard container when not in use.
