header removal fails, even though test identifies the pattern
Hi
Does anyone know which format the header removal (regular expression) acts on? The input format, the internal format(xpath) or the external format? I'm trying to remove some repetitive text from a file, input is pdf and output is mobi. When I go to the 'structure detection' -> Header regular expression. I use the wizard to identify the pattern, and when using test the text is highlighted. I Ok the expression. And run the conversion. But the mobi output format still has the text. Any idea of what the discrepancy is? Any idea of what I could do to ensure that it is the correct expression I use to identify the text? Thanks |

It has been mentioned a number of times that the Wizard does not always correctly display the text for matching the RegEx against. The only completely reliable way is to run a conversion in Debug mode so that you can look at the intermediate HTML files.
