Is there a way to change the default google search with a google translate search in Kobo? it seems such a small step to do but with enormous benefits (eg. for languages not covered in the default dictionaries), that I am surprise it is not already included..

If you login to your Google account from the home page of your country, maybe it will use this as default next time you try*?

Ah yes, Google's free translation service might be too expensive.

I do my translating mostly with the built-in dictionaries, but having a universal translator might be kinda cool.

It's not really free, nothing from Google is. You pay in loss of privacy and they make money selling adverts.

It's also parasitising off EU documents and books in multiple translations.
