For new/current series, I subscribe and get new issues. For older stuff, whatever is cheaper.

I did and would recommend the series, but the sale is over.

X-link to the DRM-free thread for a new Humble Bundle:

Humble RPG Book Bundle Pathfinder Worldscape Ultimate Crossover presented by Paizo & Dynamite contains mostly resources for the RPG, but also a fairly substantial selection of accompanying comics (some repeats, but lots of complete story-arcs/runs), plus a physical merchandise tier for unpainted figurines and print comics.

Titles include Pathfinder (regular & 3 mini-series), Pathfinder Worldscape one-shots, Vampirella (2 runs), Dejah Thoris (2 runs), Reanimator, Prophecy, The Blood Queen, and all 21 issues of the complete Swords of Sorrow crossover event including the one-shots.

Two comics tie-in bargains from assorted Random Penguin House imprints, discounted in the US-only (should be the same price at all the usual retailers):

@ $0.99 ($2.99 in Canada), A Gentleman's Game by Greg Rucka, a novel based on his Queen & Country spy series starring Tara Chace, originally out from Oni Press, IIRC.

@ $1.99 ($12 in Canada), Supergods: What Masked Vigilantes, Miraculous Mutants, and a Sun God from Smallville Can Teach Us About Being Human by Grant Morrison, containing not only his meditations on the history and meaning of superheroes, but also apparently his own experiences writing them, if you're interested in more insight into what goes into his work.

New Humble Bundle is up, and it's for:

Humble Comics Bundle Sex & Science presented by Top Cow Comics containing a mix of their shared universe superhero lines and creator-owned non-superhero indies, mostly with a theme of sfnal storylines and/or romance with some potentially risqué content (beyond the usual superhero house drawing style).

Fixed tiers of $1, $8, and $15 (no new titles added next week). A few overlaps with previous bundles, but otherwise it seems to be a decent mix of stuff, with some further volumes continuing titles which were only added up to a certain point previously.

Quote:
Sex and science positive. Top Cow is back with more top-rated comics, and this time, it's getting hot and heavy. (You're thinking of boiling points and heavy metals, right?) Get volumes of Sunstone, Aphrodite IX, Blood Stain, Think Tank, and more. Sex and science go together like... reading comics and supporting charity! Yeah.

New Humble Bundle is up, and it's for:

Humble Comics Bundle Ian Fleming's James Bond 07 presented by Dynamite Entertainment, containing franchise tie-in comics penned by Warren Ellis, James Robinson, Kieron Gillen, Andy Diggle, and others, who are generally pretty good from what I've read of their other work.

Fixed tiers of $1, $8, and $15 (no new titles added next week). Apparently the bundle is structured so you have to get the middle tier for the complete storyarcs of the miniseries issues in the lowest tier, but after that, you get a bunch of brand-new storyarcs and one-shots at the top tier, which seems fair enough.

Quote:
Bundle. James Bundle. James Bond, the icon of espionage, sneaks into Humble Bundle with this collection of comics! Follow 007 as his deadly talents are tested to their limits in titles like James Bond: Service, James Bond: BLACK BOX, James Bond: Moneypenny, and more from Warren Ellis, Andy Diggle, and other great creators.
Also, a reminder that last week's Humble Comics Bundle Sex & Science presented by Top Cow Comics containing a mix of creator owned indie and superhero titles is still available.

Biggest DC sale ever at Comixology. Almost all collections, even the normally $35 ones, are $5. Another 15% off with one-time use code readcomics.

New Humble Bundle is up, and it's for:

Humble Comics Bundle Riverdale & Archie chock-full of comics from the beloved classic franchise turned hit TV show.

There's pretty good selection of newer stuff not offered in the previous Archie HB and Groupees bundles from ages ago, as well as further volumes continuing series which were previously offered, plus some Best Ofs of the vintage comics, and of course the brand new tie-ins to the TV show. And you can finally get the 1st Vol. of the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which has been delayed so long I didn't think they'd even had enough issues released to make a TPB just yet. Sadly, Afterlife with Archie is still stuck at Vol. 1, after what, two years now?

Fixed tiers of $1, $8, and $15 (no new titles added next week).

Quote:
Welcome to the Riverdale bundle. The gang's all here in this bundle from Archie Comics! Get Road to Riverdale, the stories that inspired the CW show Riverdale; the awesome reboot of Archie by Mark Waid; The Art of Archie: The Covers, a collection of art from the classic series; volumes of Betty & Veronica; and more. You can even pick up Afterlife with Archie and face the "impending zombie Arch-pocalypse"! What's not to like?

No joy for me. I checked Creature Commandos, The Demon, Night Force, I, Vampire, Mister Miracle and (trying for something more mainstream) Superman: The Man of Steel. No $5.00 books.

D'oh! I just saw the date of your message. How did I miss that?

Groupees has apparently had a new bundle up for a while, with some free comics in it:

Dynamite 2017 Blockbuster Holiday Bundle expires in a couple of days, and looks like it's got the usual mix of repeats and new things.

$0 minimum tier gets you 5 free comics issues (#0 for Red Sonja, Sheena, Vampirella, Sovereigns, and #1 for Bettie Page)

$5 tier adds a bunch of issues for various titles, mostly #1s, but also a #1-5 run of Warlord of Mars: Fall of Barsoom which I assume is some sort of John Carter spinoff, and Kid Kosmos #1-3, among others.

$15 tier adds substantially more titles, including what looks like decent-length storyarcs for Bionic Woman, Flash Gordon, Aliens/Vampirella, Lords of Mars, Merciless Rise of Ming, Red Sonja: Atlantis Rises, The Six Million Dollar Man, which I don't think I've seen offered before. Also Classic Battlestar Galactica (itself recently featured in a dedicated HB, so probably repeats), and Xena Warrior Princess: Dark Xena, which looks kind of familiar.

There's also extra merchandise add-on tiers for $50 for some exclusive variant covers, $90 for a Vampirella bust, $150 for a complete set of limited Star Wars comics signed by artist John Cassaday, and $500 for a Vampirella statuette and all the other stuff as well (shipping costs not included in merch tiers and will be calculated and charged in addition).

A bunch of DC graphic novels are on sale at ComiXology: DC Holiday Sale

I was able to pick up The Demon by Jack Kirby and Night Force: The Complete Series for $4.99 a piece.
