Links between different pdf files

In the manual it is said that the device also support linking between different pdf files (not only inside the same pdf file).

Does anybody know how to create a pdf that allows this linking?

I have created a pdf file using latex with the comand "\href{./auxfile.pdf}{click here}" but this is not working in the DR1000S (although this method works in standard pdf readers for PC, like xpdf).

Does FB reader support this? Can xpdf be ported?

Try an absolute path instead of a relative one maybe ?

Did you try "\href{auxfile.pdf}{click here}"?

What would be the absolute path in order to work in the device? For example, what is the absolute path of the "system" folder?

That would imply that if you moved the files to a different directory, all of the links would break. I hope that's not how it's implemented.

Today I have tried all possible methods suggested here, i.e., [the last one corresponds to the absolute path as far as I have been able to undertand from the fbreader software]

\href{./auxfile.pdf}{click here}
\href{auxfile.pdf}{click here}
\href{/media/mmcblk0p1/System/auxfile.pdf}{click here}

and no one of them is working.

Is it possible to link between different pdf files or the manual is wrong?

Maybe you could try asking directly on the iRex DR1000 forum, Matthijs usually takes some time to answer technical posts when he gets around to it.

Thanks for the suggestion, I have just written a message there. If I get some positive feedback I will write the answer also in this thread.

It's possible. There have been a couple discussions about missing features that were mentioned in the manual. iRex basically said that the manual was written before development was done, and a couple things didn't make it into the initial software release. I don't know if pdf linking is one of them though.
