That's what I was taking a guess at. Everything else fit just fine. I just assumed it was things that could be written with a pencil.

I think Rasputin eventually died of drowning. They'd poisoned and shot him before that.

The "Dead Man's Hand" is so named because it was the hand Bill Hickock was holding when he was shot. Can't remember what was in it.

I think it was the ace of spades and clubs, not sure but perhaps the eights were the same?

I'm feeling a bit old today because it's my eldest son's 16th birthday. In honour of that, a few '16' themed questions;

1. The San Francisco 49ers have retired the number 16 jersey in honour of whom?

2. On April 16th, 73AD, which Jewish fortress was finally captured by the Romans?
