Perhaps we should add a translator's note to that effect. Or we could just write out hardware/software.

What are "classname footnotes"?
Sometimes it is necessary, when only the adjective is given (e.g. "classic"), to be indicated which noun it identifies. In some languages the gender of the adjective differs depending on the noun. Thanks! |

It's an HTML thing. Perhaps it could be explained better.
It means something like this: [code]<div class="footnote">I am a footnote.</div> That div(ision) has the classname "footnote". Also see the description: Quote:

I can't make sense of the phrase "pass through" in the multiswipes.
Can anybody help me? Thanks! |

If it's available as an option in multiswipes specifically that probably doesn't make sense, although it's fairly harmless. There are no widgets that register multiswipes outside of the gesture manager.
Multiple widgets can be registered to listen on a zone. The tapzones for going forward and backward take up the entire height for example. The corner zones are overlaid on top of that. Pass through makes it so that the corner zone doesn't handle it but what's underneath, like the forward/backward tapzone or the menu tapzone. Ignore on the other hand stops the event dead in its tracks. Nothing will happen. |

What's the difference between "Total time spent on this book" and "Time spent reading this book"?
Thanks! |

The former includes "re-reads", e.g., if you've paged back to a page you previously spent time on.
The latter only accounts for the *actual* amount of pages in the books (and, for each of those page, re-reads are coalesced and capped at the per-page max). This means that it's entirely possible for both to be equal, but "total" can *never* be lower than "reading" . Last edited by NiLuJe; 02-12-2021 at 01:00 PM. |

What does the option "Shorten home folder" do?

Your home folder will normally be some longer path like
/mnt/onboard/.books /home/frans/Books /sdcard/Books By enabling "Shorten home folder", the home folder itself will be displayed as Home, and a subfolder will be shortened from: /mnt/onboard/.books/Manga/Cells at Work to: Manga/Cells at Work |

I got it! Thanks!
It would probably be clearer if it were "Shorten home folder path". |

I think that the text that follows should have both singular and plural form, for the case that there is only 1 entry.
"%1 entries at ToC depth %2" What do you think? |

Yes, sounds like I let that slip through.

The same goes for the text: "Progress bars: %1 ticks"

True, although mainly in the sense that some languages distinguish between few and many. I doubt the actual singular is relevant there.
