Justification is driving me mad...!
I am mainly converting from lit to epub. Some of the original lits appear to have text-align: left set, others appear to have the rather more desirable text-align: justified set.
What I'm doing at the moment is using Sigil to directly edit the CSS, but for some bizarre reason, when I do that it Sigil mangles the base font size and I get 47,000pt text when I read it on my Cool-er. So I have to go through the irritating procedure of opening my lits in Sigil, changing the CSS, saving it from Sigil as an EPUB, then loading it into Calibre and converting from EPUB to EPUB, where my base font size settings can be re-imposed. What would be nice is a simple option in Calibre that'd force justification - maybe by overriding any and all text-align: left entries in the CSS? Yes, this might make chapter titles etc look a bit odd but I'd take that in order to get the 99% of the book looking right. |
