Unhappy Problem: new sonyprs505 & mac book pro

Hi,

I just got a sonypr505.
My mac book pro wont recognice the device - pls advise on this.

Also calibre ( upload to device ) icon is still in disabled state. So I cant upload books to the reader.

Tried re-starting my laptop / unplugging the reader but to no avail.

What am I doing wrong - Am I missing some step?

Appreciate any advice.

Thx,
Divz

i think it should mount as any usb flash drive... is it fully charged ? (i don't know if this makes a difference, but if the battery is flat perhaps it's a problem...) i am sure a sony / mac owner will be able to help you with this.

it is charging at present - the red light is on. No it is not showing up as any other Usb device would.

Update: Think I figured out what the problem was. I set a 4 digit reader lock - which locks the device and prevents it from being accessed by the machine & calibre.

Thanks for the quick reponse folks - seeya all around as soon as I get better acquainted with my new reader
