kobo mini revival

Hi all,

this is my first real post thus, sorry if it's not in the right location.
story short, I got a kobo mini N705 that i'm trying to repurpose as a basic display for a weather data.
while I was playing with it powered by usb only with battery removed it decided to no longer start.
After a while I decided to get a new sd card and image from this forum and do a fresh start after updating the serial at 0x200.
The symptom is the same, it starts, green light, blue light, then 13x green light blinks.
the screen is not active.

after connecting to the serial line I can access the console but there is no obvious error message of something being wrong.

tried : zcat /etc/images/splash.raw.gz | /usr/local/Kobo/pickel showpic but nothing shows on the screen.

anyone knows what the led is trying to say : green, blue, then 13x green light blinks.

below the log:

Hi all,

I bought a new display from Ali and now I can see a picture on the screen, thus probably the screen was defective.
Now, the touch does not work, is it possible that the screen is defective on the touch part ?
or something else.

Another question, I would like to use this kobo mini just to display an auto refreshed web page,
Is it possible to configure the wifi and start the web browser from command line ? (if the touch is gone)

Thank you,
George
