I've never tried it, but I doubt it. Amazon likes to discourage people from venturing into the outside world, so it goes to great lengths to trap them before they stray with proprietary formats, the latest of which is Kindle Create.

Epub is the one universal format. It converts beautifully on KDP (I take care to delete the included cover, though I'm assured this is no longer necessary) and of course on every other store and subscription service.

I asked a question about uploading kfx over in the feedback section but never got an answer. Maybe you know something about this, which is is there any reason why kfx uploads aren't permitted? Another question that came to mind is have you and Kovid ever discussed implementing kfx input and output directly in Calibre, without the need of plugins?

I assume that the lack of any response to your question is indicative of a lack of interest by the site owner/maintainer.

I came across some images embedded in a piece of Amazon software that show what the apparent code name was for Kindle Previewer 3 (and also that someone at Amazon is a fan of Indian food.)
