7000 books ! A new milestone for the MR Library !
Truly impressive : only 7 months after we reached 5000 books, our amazing MobileRead book creators have sailed past the 7000 mark ! Yes, only a year and half after the first upload, MobileRead now boasts 7000 books for your reading pleasure, completely free to download, lovingly hand-formatted by our own members, in practically every ebook format.
I'm particularly thrilled to see that our perennial stars like Patricia, RWood, Madam Broshkina, nrapallo, vivaldirules, HarryT and Dr. Drib (to name just a few !), whose dedication has not flagged, have been joined by more recent arrivals like mtravellerh, Jellby (specialising in hand-coded, beautiful epub format books !), crutledge, ravenne, and many others, full of enthusiasm for book creation. We've all enjoyed the wonderful books they've created for us, with such care and attention to detail. The ebook uploads forum is a rich and unique ressource for e-readers everywhere. Let's take a moment to thank them all and celebrate the truly impressive feat ! Thank you, everyone ! I think a celebration is in order ! A few key dates to put things in perspective :

A great achievement! Congrats to everyone who worked nights and weekends to put forth this labor of love!
(And let's not forget that Harv and Vera (and Vivaldi, Lefty, and Hugo, of course) were responsible for ten of that 7000!) |

I want to join the rest in the "thanks" and in the "congratulations". Finding this community has given me some thrust, and has made me forget my work (but don't say anyone ).
As for the comment: well, I would't say that yet... I've only published one of them (though I have two more in the back chamber). I'm waiting to see if I can have the details cleared up. |

Thank you, uploaders. It's so nice when you hear about a book that's reportedly interesting, you search the library, and there it is!

I would also like to give a special mention to crutledge here. He has been very busy lately and is on third position as far as the sheer number of books this month goes.
I think he has been learning really fast and doing really good books now. (Now if he could make the difference between ndashes and mdashes. he would be nearly perfect ). He has uploaded nearly 100 books this month. |
