First User Program: "Hello Mobileread World"

Sorry about the crappy cameraphone pictures, but I've got a program compiled and running on the DR1000. If you can't make it out, it says "Hello Mobileread World".

iRex had included the source code for the Hello World program in their SDK. I was able to compile and test it without too much trouble. It does have a few minor issues. The menu doesn't appear to be working, so you can't close out of the program. I'll have to take a look to see what's going on.

I'll work on creating tutorials explaining how to set everything up.

Good work Adam, would you have to load a developer package onto the SD card sort of like you do with the iliad, or can you just run these programmes from the card. ie wold they appear in the menus as applications?

You can run them directly on the card. No developer package is required. It can show up like any other document.
