As part of it, screen sharing, cloud storage support of any kind, hand writing conversion, and likely other features are now a subscription-only feature, and any existing users will, however, retain full access, as do new users with tablets bought before Connect.
New users are forced to pay for Connect or Connect Lite to get advanced features however, and can also choose to get it with a tablet for a mildly subsidized price.

There's two tiers, Connect Lite and Connect. Lite is $4.99/mo and Connect is $7.99/mo.
