Sharing to Kindle no longer works

Calibre no longer shares books to my Kindle, I can no longer send books from Calibre to my Kindle. I have tried reinstalling etc but the error message is always the same. The problem started a few months ago. Please advise. Error message below.

Thanks for the link, however it worked before for over a year but now it doesn't.

Unfortunately, the GMX site isn't taking new email addresses as I get this error from GMX every time I try: A technical error has occurred. Error Code: dfaa692a-cca7-4c90-8fbb-298de884976d

3rd parties (GMX, MS...) are forever changing things.

Your Windows PC gets various updates all the time. In many cases, you can not turn them off (nor should you for some).
So unfortunately, 'It used to work' only means Calibre is/was setup correctly and something else is now blocking things.

can you log into your GMX account from a regular Browser?
(I am assuming that error was from GMX and not Calibre since you did not include a log)

The error was from the Calibre Windows program.I cannot sign up to GMX as it isn't available in all countries.

GMX is free and it worked well for many people when Google starting making GMail a pain to use. They do have a habit of disabling unused accounts for inactivity.

As for the OPs issue, He does not mention what his original SMTP host was. I suspect that "I cannot sign up to GMX as it isn't available in all countries." is a pretty strong suggestion that he does not have a GMX account, so configuring his GMX account to allow POP/IMAP/SMTP is not a viable suggestion.

As for the error 10054, that suggests that either his network connection is being blocked by his firewall or antivirus or he is connecting to an IP address that does not have an SMTP server.

If your normal (paid?) ISP allows it, just fill in the proper user account values (and allow the ID at Amazon)
