Hanlin V5 (same as Pocket Pro) review

For those that don't skim the Hanlin device forum, there's a review from someone in Australia that has received a Hanlin V5, which is essentially the same as the Astak Pocket Pro 5".

Maybe I don't understand. Isn't it the case that each Hanlin V-5 clone has its own firmware? If so, isn't comparing readers with different firmware pointless?

Most of the firmware files for the different clones are the same with the logos changed.
I believe that the lbook firmware is the one that is somewhat different

In the case of the Hanlin V3, almost all the available firmwares are very similar or identical to the standard Hanlin version from Jinke. See Hanlin V3 (& Clones) Firmware Roundup. The Lbook firmware tends to be different in look and feel and in features, and is worth trying out. The OpenInkPot firmware is completely different, and not associated with Jinke in any way.

Since the Hanlin V5 is new, its firmware is even more likely to be close to the standard Jinke version.
