Hello,

I bought a new PW from internet, with SN G090 G1...., fw. 5.9.8.0.1 (3175970011). Contacted the support, to register on Amazon, they said that it is a "lost or stolen" unit. The seller disappear. So, I have this device:

- connected to the internet, but unregistered
- it came with 5.8.9.0.1
- no ads/ special offers
- no pass code/ parental protections
- the seal sticker on the box lists the importers for Mexico and Brasil

I want it to be jailbroken.

(I downloded the update_pw3_factory_5.8.9.0.1.bin file, MD5 File Checksum: 5d38744bd01f4cbf457dae4499c3c32a)

So i worked out the courage to jailbreak my kindle and succeeded. I used the fw-5.8.9.0.1 and followed the guide in wiki.

Arrived with 5.8.7.0.1

No. Though I am not sure if it doesn't have ads from the start or because i selected English language.

No

What country was it sold in?

- registered

- sold in Switzerland
- I stopped OTA by adding "update.bin.tmp.partial" directory

I'd like to install Koreader on it.
What should I do to jailbreak?
Should I remove OTA and allow update to 5.11.1.1?
What are chanches of briking it during jailbreak process?
