huh? where do I find this percent counter? he's currently downloading, while the box massage said so. i can't see he is doing anything.

I have DINGO-1.1 and my eDGe tells that there is now update available.
How to get it?

Hello borisb. Thanks. But there was a small but mighty error in my post. The message is:
I have DINGO-1.1 and my eDGe tells that there is "no" update available now.
But i will try "Problem 2" or even to get an update file.

Ah! If you have the Pocket eDGe, then for now there may not be an update available temporarily. In your Settings, you can enable "automatically check for updates" so that you'll be informed when the udpate is available.

Hi all,

I have a standard edge and the same problem: I haven't used the wifi connection for some time, just re-enabled and:

1) despite the network connection is working fine, no automatic notification of the update appeared
2) clicking on the "update" application resulted in "... your edge is up to date" and no network or server error was returned.

How to force the update?

Welcome to the forums, Jayel91

If it says no update is available, then there's no "forcing" it. You can contact Tech Support (www.entourageedge.com/support), although they're swamped at the moment and could take longer than usual to respond.

What is Dingo. What would i use it for?

Dingo is just a name for Android 1.6, the OS the eDGe is running on. We are all waiting for Android 2.2 and that is called Froyo.

A very basic question. Where's the update.zip available from if we have to download it manually?
I have tried to updated from Settings > eDGe Settings > Update now but it always tells me that my software is up to date, which is not true. The Android 1.6 version currently installed includes 20100413 asc its timestamp.

Never mind, ppl, I did not read http://www.entourageedge.com/forums/...blems-Updating carefully enough. Yikes.

Actually Dingo is the current version of Entourage's own software that runs on top of Android on the Edge. The fact that the version numbers are the same is a coincidence; before this update we had Dingo 1.5 and Android 1.6.
