Device: Shocked by how much I've read on an iPod Touch received as a gift!
Does this device have an Adobe Digital Editions install yet? What DRM ebook reader software is available? I know FBReader java version is available, but neither will read the current DRM schemes.

It looks like a great multi-task device that would be a great reader for those of use that prefer LCD to e-Ink, but it needs to have at least one hosted DRM (Mobi, LRX, eReader, ePub) to be able to get some of the desired books that are currently unavailable any other way.

Probably not going to stop anyone buying it, but I don't like Archos. They are very restrictive in giving the community information about their devices . If the firmware is bad, don't expect Archos to fix it. I once had a PMA400 that was pretty expensive. Archos never replied to pleas to release sourcecode or update firmware. Hardware was great, firmware amazingly bad...

Looks like they haven't changed their ways... http://discarded-ideas.org/archosfirmware

There isn't currently a DRM-ridden ebook Reader app for Android, but B&N says they will be introducing an eReader Android Reader.
