Gestion des espaces insécables

Bonjour,

Après de nombreux essais de conversion depuis différents formats vers LRF ou EPUB, j'arrive à peu près à obtenir la mise en page qui me convient sur ma liseuse...
Sauf un truc : les espaces insécables avant les signes de ponctuation double.
J'ai beau remplacer tous les " !", " :" etc. par des "°!", "°:" dans les fichiers sources (en txt ou rtf), je me retrouve toujours avec des signes de ponctuation en début de ligne sur le PRS 505, comme si celui-ci ne reconnaissait pas les espaces insécables.
C'est le cas, ou bien c'est moi qui ai raté un truc ?
Parce que c'est super désagréable, j'hésite à carrément supprimer tous les espaces et à avoir la ponctuation collée au mot précédent, mais c'est franchement pas génial non plus...

Possile que le moteur de rendu n'intérprete pas les insécables. Tu as vérifié dans le fichiers ePub si tu as bien des insécables ? J'ai l'impression que tu utilises Calibre, et rien ne dit que celui-ci conserve bien les insécables.
Tu as testé soit le caractère UTF-8, soit l'entité HTML ?

Si tu es pointilleux sur ces questions là, il te reste aussi le choix du PDF (à adapter à l'écran) qui lui conservera toute la typographie que tu souhaites.

Je confirme, Calibre ne conserve pas les espaces insécables. Je viens d'ailleurs de poster à l'instant un texte à ce sujet : https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...=29350&page=20
Je précise que c'est le caractère HTML-   - qui est utilisé dans la source html que "j'injecte" dans Calibre.

Je suis plutôt en phase de test actuellement, même si le résultat obtenu est prometteur : évidemment moins fouillé et pointu qu'avec l'interface Feedbooks (impossible de mettre plusieurs flux, il faut tout travailler dans Word avant, 2 niveaux possibles seulement, pas de gestion des insécables comme nous venons de le voir), mais beaucoup plus rapide, environ 5-10 mn maxi par livre, quelque soit la taille de ces livres, et pour un résultat honorable si on "soigne" la source.

Pour ma part, on bosse pas mal sur tout ce qui mouline les flux textes là, mais la gestion des insécables on va sûrement l'automatiser pour la ponctuation en fonction des langues à termes. En attendant, si on met des insécables (pour de la poésie par exemple), ils sont bien restitués dans le fichier final.

Effectivement j'utilise Calibre pour la conversion txt ou rtf->lrf, après avoir retravaillé l'original avec word.
Ceci dit, j'ai aussi ce problème avec des ebooks téléchargés sur le site de la Fnac ou sur feedbooks en epub et directement transférés sur ma liseuse. C'est pourquoi je pensais que le problème venait plutôt du sony reader que de Calibre...

Je vais explorer les solutions proposées : interface feedbooks (je ne me suis pas penchée dessus pour l'instant car je préfèrerais conserver l'alignement justifié autant que possible, mais c'est vrai que les epub de feedbooks sont quand même super soignés donc...), ou conversion en pdf.

Kovid (le créateur de Calibre) travaille sur le problème en question. Avec la version nouvelle version (132, je crois) Calibre va supporter les insécables.

Bonjour. J'utilise Calibre pour créer des fichiers EPUB et je suis très content de ce logiciel. Mais il semble qu'il ne gère toujours pas les espaces insécables. Ou alors, c'est moi qui ne sais pas le régler. Pouvez-vous me dire s'il y a des réglages à faire?

Bonjour

LibreOffice gère les espaces insécables automatiquement selon les règles de la typographie française. Il insère notamment automatiquement un espace insécable avant chaque signe de ponctuation double.

Il existe aussi des macros typographiques pour OpenOffice et LibreOffice qui permettent d'épouiller un texte notamment dans ce domaine.

Merci pour votre réponse. En fait, Word gère lui aussi automatiquement les espaces insécables. Ce n'était pas à ce niveau que j'avais des soucis. C'est qu'une fois que j'ai enregistré mon fichier Word en Page Web Filtrée pour Calibre, ce dernier ne tient pas compte des espaces insécables lors de la conversion.
Mais je me demande si la liseuse de calibre ne serait pas seule en cause...

AFAIK, Calibre gère proprement les espaces insécables depuis belle lurette maintenant, donc j'opterais pour l'export HTML Word moisi... un morceau de code serait le bienvenu pour vérifier ça/tester un export HTML via Libreoffice (qui devrait rendre du code HTML déjà moins capilotracté, donc qui sait..).

Merci pour vos réponses. En fait, je crois que le problème vient bien de la visionneuse incorporée dans Calibre. Car quand je lis le fichier Mobi créé avec calibre via l'application de lecture Kindle pour PC... les espaces insécables sont bien gérés.

Espaces insécables sur Reader for PC Sony

Nous avons un souci avec la génération d'epub depuis QuarkExpress sur le Reader for PC Sony : les espaces insécables, correctement compris par d'autres readers (FBReader, Calibre...) sont interprétés comme des points d'interrogations sur le Reader Sony (ex. de dialogue : "–?Tu te moques de moi?!"). Quelqu'un a-t-il rencontré ce problème ? Le résultat sera-t-il identique sur les liseuses PRS-Tx ? Y a-t-il une solution ? Le problème est-il fixé chez Sony ?

@Boujailles: Comment sont représentés les espaces insécables dans le code? Via une entité html, ou un caractère unicode? Le premier devrait fonctionner sans soucis, le second est potentiellement plus problématique, surtout si l'encodage/metadata est foireux au niveau du type d'encodage de caractères.

EDIT: Il est aussi vaguement probable que certains moteurs de rendu gèrent mal les 7 millions d'espaces insécables différents (genre les 'demi' typographiquement 'correct' utilisé en français pour le cas de ton exemple), et ne supportent qu'un simple espace insecable 'complet' (nbsp).

Vous trouverez ici un exemple d'EPUB (pas un modèle) où sont mis en place
- des espaces insécables
- des espaces fines insécables
Pour un livre complet de ce genre, ces dernières représentent environ un millier de vraies fines insécables. Ce n'est pas fondamental. Ce n'est pas négligeable non plus.

Dans les deux cas, il ne s'agit pas d'émulation mais de "vraies" espaces. Je n'ai pas fait l'essai sur beaucoup de supports mais j'ai constaté qu'ils passent bien sur ADE 1.7 et donc sur les liseuses suivant ces spécifications (dont ma vieille PRS-505).

La condition essentielle à un affichage sans problème des vraies fines insécables dans l'EPUB est que les espaces soient définies dans la fonte. C'est le cas, par exemple, avec la fonte Linux Libertine regular utilisé dans le livre cité plus haut.

Le PDF est plus tolérant à cet égard (c'est l'exception qui confirme la règle) et permet d'incorporer des vraies espaces fines insécables dans tout texte.
