The Amazon local app is not compatible with my 2013 or 2012 Nexus 7. It is compatible with my Samsung galaxy s3, but the font is too small to read. Weird.

Purple Lady, you should be able to sideload it onto the Nexus. Several people managed to do that in one of the Audible deals that was an Amazon Local App exclusive.

Thanks, I already got the apk from my phone and installed it. I just thought it was weird not to have it available for tablets.

Amazon didn't make their main store app available for tablets until a few months ago when they came out with a special app for tablets (apparently like many Android developers they don't get the whole one app for all devices and adapt the functionality/display to the device). Their MP3 app is available for all devices, though.
