Assuming there is no lack of intelligence on Amazon, I wonder what's the idea behind persevering ignoring the first computer TRUE. There is no safe jail.
That left only one real advantage, which usually determines corps strategies. TIME. But, time for what? Are they selling a "safe" product to some one worried about that?. Who is under most influential position about copy right on the market?

As a new impatient PW2 owner, I can put my hand on fire for the Global Team Vs amanzon. It is apreciated and would be welcome any wire from the inside though. :-P

I believe that the Kindles are intended solely as a market research tool.

Amazon is a 'book store' -
What better way of knowing what to stock than have electronic tracking of what people are reading?

But we only effect (at a guess) only hundreds of devices out of the millions sold.

We are the tiny fly bite that irritates the elephant.

I can see your point Knc1. User's preferences and desires move huge amount of bucks. Forcing the people to watch personalized adverticement really worth the effort. And you are right, we are a minority. So why to worry about us? They seem to invest too much on blocking every little hole each new firmware version... for so short time until the jailbreak...
