Importing a nook study textbook to calibre=gibberish
Does anyone know what I can do to fix this so I can read textbooks on my ipad?

What format are the files in? If they are already in PDF then there should be no need to convert them. The other possibility is that they are DRM protected, and if so Calibre cannot do any sort of conversion on them.
