Why doesn't my Forma remember the wifi password for a network?

I tap the network in the list of networks.
I then enter the password.
I connect to the hotspot.
I'm able to surf using the Beta browser and sync Pocket articles and books.

But, say, an hour later, it disconnects and I have to re-enter the password.

Is this normal?

I've never tried to stay logged in that long on my Clara. However, my reader frequently forgets the network in between uses. Sometimes it doesn't see any networks at all when I try to connect & sync. Usually backing out and starting over works, but recently I had to re-enter the password to get it to work. None of my other devices (Tolino reader, Sony reader, phone, tablet, Chromecast, Roku) have problems with remembering my wifi network.

@droopy I know one cause of wifi passwords not being remembered is corruption to the file on the device becoming corrupted. There is a fix I'd made a long time back you could try. See https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=247678
