There is a kickstarter project for an interesting Fire stand:

Hope they manage to get their requested dollars, it'd be interesting to see one and if it really does improve the sound.

That depends on how you define "better"
It will certainly be heavier, more expensive and require a 110volt outlet. It seems like an expensive add-on for a $200 device, plus if Amazon changes the location of a single port, it is obsolete. By July 2nd it may already be obsolete. |

Problem with the more expensive one, you cant use it in movie mode (landscape) so whats the point of having big sound if your movies are sideways?
