The Half Truth by British author Sue Fortin is her standalone surprise-revelations-of-the-deceased contemporary suspense thriller with strong f/m romantic elements set in Littlehampton, wherein a widow discovers that her beloved late husband was actually part of a Russian crime family, which now puts her at risk as a DS attempts to track down her brother-in-law, who was responsible for his partner's death, free courtesy of publisher HarperCollins' HarperImpulse imprint.

Although HarperImpulse is primarily a romance-oriented imprint (but they also do women's fiction and the like) the customer reviews seem to indicate that the suspense thriller backstory and plot is very prominent, and this has been co-filed under the regular Crime/Thriller categories as well as Romantic Suspense. YMMV.
