Reading between the lines at a Win 10 briefing I attended the other day, I wouldn't be surprised to see a a free consumer version - Win 10 Consumer. But you'll pay for Professional and Enterprise, and Ultimate will be dropped. BR |

I've also read that Win 10 will only be free to Win 8/8.1 users. So I have no idea which rumor is true.
Even if Windows 10 is free for all, you'll still need to have a processor that can handle the same requirements of Windows 8.1. So if don't, Windows 10 won't work for you and you will need to upgrade your processor and/or computer. |

I was able to build Sigil (0.8.2) using the MinGW Open Source Windows compiler. It uses the MinGW precompiled version of Qt5.3.2. I'd appreciate it if people would see if it works for them. I've tried it on XP (and no, it still doesn't get around the sse2 processor requirement), Vista, and Win7.
It's 32-bit only, but I've not had any issues so far (including on Win7 64-bit). The download link can be found in the first post. Last edited by DiapDealer; 12-04-2014 at 04:11 PM. |
