Amazon's First Response to the Sony Launch Announcement (?)
I've been visiting some online news pages listed on the Google news page - following the spread of Sony's announcement. On many pages, the only ads, or the predominant ads, are for the Amazon Kindle. Several papers have an Amazon Kindle box just under the article headline.

I think it's more just about how the ad networks work. You go reading an article about ebooks, the ad network throws up the one contextually relevant ad that they have for ebooks, which happens to be an ad for the Kindle.
